They put in two unread love letters to each other about why they fell in love, a nice bottle of wine from the year they started dating, and nailed the lid on the box. They promised that if things ever get too hard and their love starts to fade, they will open the box, drink the wine, and read the letters they wrote to each other, reminding them of how much their love means and to never give up.

Backstory — this kid from my workplace planted a flower for his mom as a Mother’s Day present. Throughout the 3 hours that he stayed at after school he would water the small plant every hour or so. I told him that plants need more than just water to grow; they need sunlight, too. Since Friday was hot and sunny, I gave him permission to put his plant by the door to get some sunlight. He insisted on holding the plant and refused to leave it unprotected. It was too cute not to share. #cute #mothersday #kidsdothedarnestthings #itsthelittlethingsthatcount
